Serving With Excellence Under Authority

Excellence: The state, quality, or condition of excelling, quality of being outstanding or extremely good. Not being the best but doing your best.

Authority- The power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce compliance. In authority, one person has a formal right to command and another a formal obligation to obey. Authority goes together with power. All authority belongs to God.

Power without authority is tyranny.

God delegates authority directly and indirectly. Directly through His Word, the Holy Spirit. Indirectly through His chosen people in various authority structures.

The structures include:
Family- Man/Father is the head.
Wife to submit.
Children obey their parents.

2. Workplace
   When we obey masters, we obey God.
   Col 3:22-24

3. Government

Put in place by God.

Rebelling against authority is rebelling against God and this brings judgement

4. Church

Every believer regardless of their denomination is the body of Christ. Christ is the head. It is important to understand and support vision bearers.
